Общественное движение против производства ядерного оружия и (в меньшей степени) против использования атомной энергетики в мирных целях. Истоки движения - кампания "Запретите Бомбу" [Ban the Bomb] конца 50-х гг. Получило довольно широкое распространение в 60-70 гг. XX в., вновь усилившись после аварии на острове Три-Майл [Three Mile Island] (1979) и объявления США о том, что они планируют разместить в Западной Европе новые ракеты средней дальности (1981). В 1982 в демонстрации против ядерной угрозы в г. Нью-Йорке приняли участие около 1 млн. человек. После подписания ряда соглашений между США и СССР в 80-е годы популярность движения постепенно снизилась
